Chandlings welcomes children from age 2 to 11 into a calm, joyful and nature‑rich school community where childhood is genuinely cherished. Our Nursery is the earliest entry point, reflecting our belief that the sooner a child’s love of learning is nurtured, the stronger the foundations for their future.
Children join us at many different stages of their educational journey, with Nursery, Reception and Year 3 being our most common entry points. We warmly welcome enquiries and applications for any year group throughout the school year, where places are available, and our friendly Admissions Team is here to guide and support you at every step.
The admissions journey at Chandlings is very much a partnership: time and care are taken on both sides to ensure the school is the right fit for each family, so that every child’s individual needs, interests and passions can be understood, supported, allowing them to flourish.

Begin your journey by experiencing Chandlings firsthand through an Open Morning or personal tour. Following your visit, we’ll share our registration form, which can be returned along with a £100 registration fee to secure your place in our admissions process.
For our youngest learners joining Nursery or Reception, we arrange gentle taster sessions where they can meet their future friends and teachers in a relaxed setting. Children joining Years 1-6 spend a full day with us, experiencing our engaging curriculum while completing informal assessments in English and Mathematics.
Book an open morning
Once your child’s visit has shown them to be ready for the Chandlings experience, we’ll extend a formal offer. A deposit of £750 secures their place, with Nursery deposits carrying forward to guarantee their Reception place.
You’ll then gain access to our comprehensive Admissions Portal and Welcome Pack, filled with everything you need to know about joining our community. Our \remains your personal guide throughout this journey, right up to welcoming you on your child’s first day.
